Minnesota man accused of drunk driving after police chase

A man was arrested recently for numerous charges stemming from an incident that occurred in the city of St. Peter. Minnesota State Patrol officers claim that they had to initiate a car chase in pursuit of the man's vehicle before they were finally able to apprehend and arrest him. He faces charges for allegedly fleeing from the officers, as well as drunk driving.

At around 1 a.m., Minnesota State Patrol officers say they spotted and approached the man's vehicle, which was parked on Highway 22, in an attempt to make sure that he was well. The man had two female passengers in the back seat of the vehicle who were crying. The police were supposedly trying to ascertain the situation when the man started the vehicle and sped away.

Police claim that they chased the man as he sped through the city. The report states that the man's vehicle had to be spun twice before police were able to block it and arrest the driver. The man was immediately arrested and taken to jail where a Breathalyzer test indicated that his blood alcohol content was twice the legal limit. He was charged with multiple infractions, including running from the police and drunk driving.

As this man's criminal proceedings begin, he will be faced with a number of options from which to choose to use in his criminal defense. The man, as well as all other Minnesota residents facing drunk driving accusations, would benefit from acquiring information on these options in an attempt to make the best decision for his personal case. He has a long road ahead of him as he works to ensure that his legal rights are protected during the entirety of his criminal proceedings.
